For my Illustration class, our teacher challenged us to turn one of our colleagues into a comic book character. As my colleague Mariana, a very talented designer, is a big anime and manga fan, I revisited my 9th grade phase and attempted to draw her in that style.
I then proceeded to design the cover for the comic book in the style of other mangas I saw online - the captions are all translated nonsense, I’m afraid.
In the end, I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised with the results. And, maybe more importantly, the illustration made my colleague very happy!
